In this episode, as we enter the new year and create our resolutions for the new year, it is worth having a discussion about how to approach those goals with a more balanced, sustainable attitude. People set new year goals for a variety of reasons, including to make positive changes in their lives, create a sense of purpose, hold themselves accountable, celebrate their successes, and participate in a tradition. However, research finds that about 16% of people are actually able to complete their resolutions, so to become a part of that percentage, what do we need to do?

By focusing on things that bring you joy, working with others, rewarding yourself, being flexible, and finding a balance, you can create resolutions that are enjoyable and sustainable. It's important to note that making resolutions and setting goals can still be beneficial, even if you don't always achieve them. Setting goals can help you identify areas of your life that you want to improve and can provide motivation and a sense of direction.
